Glen Shiel, 20th Nov, 2004.

The main party had set off for Sgurr Mor in Glendessary but another group had set off for Glen Shiel. All photos courtesy of Alex Aikman, the 2 hills tackled were A'Chrailaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire.

 Alex's account of the day:
Surely one of the best days for winter walking in a long time although the deep snow on the tops (up to knee high) did slow progress. The vet's section (along with Bagger Hamilton as a guest walker) tackled these two hills on the north side of Glen Shiel which ended with a romantic walk out in moonlight. The severe cold on the day was highlighted by the fact that most of the water bottles froze over and removing boots at the end of the day was a major (and in some cases impossible) task as the laces were frozen solid. However, as the photographs testify, it was a day to remember.
