Beinn Mhor, Cowal, 16/3/2008.
Though the Club was reduced by
injury, illness and the Edinburgh half marathon, there were still a dozen
members who set off for Cowal. Those who went were rewarded with a super day, as
we drove to Greenock the cloud broke up, the sun came out and so it stayed all
day. After the short Ferry trip to Hunters Quay and a short drive to the start
of the walk we climbed Beinn Mhor in perfect conditions. Coming back down the
ridge most of the Dirty Dozen went out to climb Clach Bheinn, those who didn't
sunned themselves in a sheltered neuk and had a wee nap! We then joined
together to return to the cars, then as required we had a libation in a local
hostelry, aye, a great day.
